São Paulo Law School launches graduate course for non-lawyers

The Lato Sensu Graduate Program of São Paulo Law School (GVlaw) has launched the course Law for non-lawyers: business perspective, aimed at freelance professionals, managers, executives, businessmen and entrepreneurs. The objective of the course is to enable these professionals to handle common legal business issues.The course was designed to serve professionals who, although have no legal training, need legal knowledge to execute their activities, explains Roberto Vasconcelos, coordinator of the course.  Issues concerning the formalization of the business, such as company incorporation, legal person registration, registration at competent agencies, required accounting and business books, invoice issuing and other documents will be addressed.Following up on the evolution of the business from its formalization, the course will also address topics such as taxation, remuneration of partners and directors, models of capitalization and corporate restructurings. Finally, cases involving shareholder disputes, company dissolution, bankruptcy and recovery will be studied.Classes begin in February.For more information, please click here (in Portuguese).
