São Paulo Law School opens selection for laboratory of technology startups

The Group of Teaching and Research in Innovation (GEPI) at FGV's São Paulo Law School will select, by August 20, a researcher and 15 students to participate in the activities of the Emerging Business Technology Laboratory (LENT). LENT is a multidisciplinary space, which provides training in legal practice and its purpose is to bring together students and entrepreneurs who operate in technological innovation environments in Brazil. GEPI's coordinator and LENT's academic coordinator, Monica Rosina, talks about the activities of the laboratory. The startups are faced daily with several legal challenges, such as the corporate model more appropriate to the business plan, protection of intangible assets, company control rules, etc. The LENT intends to provide analysis tools to graduate students and to promote reflection and discussion with entrepreneurs in order to build solutions that meet their needs. GEPI's researcher and LENT's executive coordinator, Alexandre Pacheco, on the other hand, states that the lab will focus its activities on the support of micro and small companies oriented at creating new technologies, which seek assistance to develop their business. Research candidates should hold a graduate degree or be currently attending masters in Law, Business Administration, Economics, Social Sciences or related areas in FGV's Schools.
