São Paulo Law School presents work at Columbia School of Law

The professor at São Paulo Law School (FGV DIREITO SP), Mariana Pargendler, presented on June 14-15, the scientific article Governing State Capitalism: The Case of Brazil, at Columbia School of Law, in New York. The work was presented in two different workshops: Chinese State Capitalism Workshop and Comparative Law and Economics Forum (CLEF).Mariana was also invited to permanently join CLEF - a select group of 18 professors from the American, European and Asian continents, which meets annually to present and discuss papers on Law and Economics. With a multidisciplinary and multinational nature, the activities of CLEF facilitate exchanges among scholars in the field.Mariana Pargendler is a professor of the Undergraduate and Graduate Law programs at São Paulo Law School. Her academic research focuses on the fields of Contract Law, Corporate Law and Corporate Governance, under economic and comparative perspectives. Her works have been included in prestigious national and international publications, such as the Yale Law Journal, the Stanford Law Review and the American Journal of Comparative Law.The article Governing State Capitalism: The Case of Brazil will also be published in a book about the Chinese State Capitalism, by the Oxford University Press.
