On July 14, Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Rio de Janeiro Law School will hold a webinar called “Regulatory Power and Flexibility in Urgent Circumstances: Anvisa’s Actions During the Pandemic.” The event will be broadcast live on FGV’s YouTube channel, starting at 6 pm.

This is the third meeting in a series of talks called “Public Law and Regulation During the Pandemic,” organized by the school’s Graduate Program in Regulatory Law. The participants will discuss subjects related to health regulations during the pandemic, focusing on the urgent need for the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) to issue new regulations and loosen existing ones regarding the production, import and sale of products such as personal protective equipment, alcohol-based hand sanitizer and medications.

The debate will feature professors Marcos Perez (University of Sao Paulo), Henrique Cardoso (Sergipe Federal University) and Natasha Salinas (FGV Rio de Janeiro Law School). The moderator will be Professor Patrícia Sampaio of the FGV Rio de Janeiro Law School, who is also a researcher at the school’s Center for Research in Law and Economics (CPDE).
