Street Lighting and Smart Cities Forum to take place on April 13 and 14
Hiria, in partnership with Fundação Getulio Vargas, will hold the “Street Lighting and Smart Cities Forum – A New Start for the Sector and Prospects for the Market and Industry Between Now and 2025” on April 13 and 14. The meeting, to take place on online platforms, will present the visions of new mayors, investors’ appetite, solutions offered by suppliers and the work done by the sector’s planners and regulators.
The event will discuss challenges involved in enhancing street lighting in Brazilian municipalities in the context of smart cities and 5G technologies. By sharing experiences, the forum aims to contribute to debate regarding regulation and best practices in the structuring and management of street lighting projects.
The participants will include Charles Correa Schramm, the executive manager of FGV Projetos; and Joelson Sampaio, a professor of finance and coordinator of FGV EESP’s Economics Course. Other speakers will include the president of ABCIP, Pedro Vicente Iacovino; the assistant superintendent of ANEEL’s Distribution Service Regulation Department, Hugo Lamin; the head of the Technical Management Division at the National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (INMETRO), Bruno Couto; founding partner of law firm Gouveia Gioielli, Alfredo Gioielli; and partner in law firm Azevedo Sette, Frederico Bopp Dieterich.
The discussions will also feature the head of BNDES’ Investment Partnerships Area, Guilherme Martins; the vice president for government relations at Caixa, Tatiana Thomé; International Finance Corporation and World Bank consultant Otávio Fernandes; founder of law firm Vernalha Pereira, Fernando Vernalha; Marsh Brasil’s infrastructure director, André Dabus; partner in law firm Warde Advogados and director of IREE, Rafael Valim; senior partner for insurance and PPPs at Pezco Consultoria, Tulio Henrique Marques; and the CEO of IPGC, Leonardo Santos.
