Study about bank loans is opening theme of Graduate Seminars 2020

On January 29, the Academic Master’s and Doctorate Program at the FGV´s Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (FGV EBAPE) will begin a series of talks called the Graduate Seminars 2020. The first guest speaker will be Professor Rafael Schiozer of the FGV´s Sao Paulo School of Business Administration (FGV EAESP), who will present his paper on “Bank Loan Forbearance: Evidence from a Million Restructured Loans.” The event will take place at 10 am in Room 3 at FGV EBAPE (Rua Jornalista Orlando Dantas, 30, Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro).

Schiozer has a PhD in business administration from FGV, a master’s in petroleum engineering from Campinas State University and an undergraduate degree in administration from the University of Sao Paulo. He is a professor of finance at FGV EAESP. He is currently the head of the Accounting, Finance and Control Department and a research scholar at the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). His research focuses on financial stability, banking, risks and financial crises, and it has been published in periodicals such as the Review of Finance, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, and Journal of Financial Stability.

The event is being organized by FGV EBAPE, with the goal of promoting high-level discussion of relevant and current research subjects. The series of seminars is aimed at master’s and PhD students, as well as researchers interested in the subject. Professor Schiozer’s talk will be in English and it is open to the public.
