Event to be held on October 8, from 9 am to 10:30 am, featuring Rita de La Feria, a professor at the University of Leeds and associate researcher at Oxford University’s Centre for Business Taxation; and Melina Rocha, the indirect taxation course director at York University, Canada

On October 8, the Nucleus for Fiscal Studies at Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo Law School, as part of its Our Tax Reform project, will hold a free, online debate about the complementary law on the Tax on Goods and Services (IBS). The event will be broadcast live on FGV’s YouTube channel, starting at 9 am.

During the webinar, the participants will analyze the main criteria used to draft the complementary law, evaluate successful international models and examine possible solutions that meet Brazil’s needs.

Talks will be given by Rita de La Feria, a professor at the University of Leeds and associate researcher at Oxford University’s Centre for Business Taxation; and Melina Rocha, the indirect taxation course director at York University, Canada. Eurico Santi and Isaías Coelho, both coordinators of the Nucleus for Fiscal Studies at the Sao Paulo Law School, will be the moderators.
