Third Macroeconomic Analysis Seminar looks at global macroeconomic situation

Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Brazilian Institute of Economics (FGV IBRE) is holding the Third Macroeconomic Analysis Seminar, in partnership with the newspaper O Estado de S. Paulo. This public webinar will take place on September 8, at 10 am, on FGV’s YouTube channel.

The topics to be debated include the energy crisis, rampant global inflation, sluggish economic growth, increased macroeconomic uncertainty and the growing threat of a worldwide recession. The participants will also discuss the impacts of the war in Ukraine, which is dragging on for longer than expected, and worsening geopolitical tensions.

The webinar will feature Silvia Matos, the coordinator of FGV IBRE’s Macro Bulletin; Armando Castelar, an associate researcher at the institute; and José Júlio Senna, the head of FGV IBRE’s Center for Monetary Studies. The moderator will be O Estado de S. Paulo special reporter and columnist Adriana Fernandes.
