US Consul unveils innovation contest at FGV

On August 29, FGV/EPGE - Graduate School of Economics was visited by the consul of the Political and Economic section of the United States Consulate General in Rio de Janeiro, Matthew R. Stokes.The diplomat announced the Concurso Inovar and presented the contest to FGV's Schools. Representatives of the Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration, the School of Social Sciences, Rio de Janeiro Law School, and the Professional Placement and Academic Directories were present at the occasion.The contest - sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Brazil - is intended for graduate and undergraduate students. The participants must set up teams of two to four members, plus a professor, in order to develop an article and a video about the impact of innovation and intellectual property rights in the economy.The winners will go to Brasilia for the awards ceremony of the contest and win a trip to New York to attend the annual conference of Fordham Intellectual Property Rights, in April 2014.Registrations must be made on the Embassy's webpage on Facebook.
