Webinar brings together specialists to debate open banking’s current status and future prospects in Brazil

On September 14, Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Internship and Career Development Center (NEDC), Nubank and Oliver Wyman will hold a webinar called “Open Banking in Brazil: Where We Are and Where We Are Going.” The event will be broadcast live on FGV’s YouTube channel, starting at 1 pm.

Open banking looks set to cause a revolution in the Brazilian banking system. The financial system is expected to soon become more transparent and competitive. Under this new model, financial transactions will take place in a different way and users will be able to choose which information they want to share and with which companies.

This subject will be discussed by Ana Carla Abrão Costa (the head of Oliver Wyman in Brazil and its partner for finance, risk and public policy) and Mariana Cunha e Melo (Nubank’s open banking and public policy development leader). The moderator will be Sérgio Werlang, a professor at FGV and former director of economic policy at the Brazilian Central Bank.
