Webinar debates international digital economy tax regulation
Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Rio de Janeiro Law School will end its series of debates called “Tax Regulation of the Digital Economy and Tax Reform” on Tuesday, November 24. The final webinar will be on the subject of “Tax Regulation of the Digital Economy on a Global Scale.” The event will be held at 10 am on FGV’s YouTube channel.
The virtual meeting will consist of an international panel discussion featuring Professor Joachim Englisch of the University of Münster, Germany; and Professor Gustavo Fossati of the FGV Rio de Janeiro Law School, who has coordinated the series of debates. During the webinar, the specialists will debate tax-related challenges for the digital economy and recommendations made by the OECD through its BEPS Project and by the European Union.
Previous webinars in the FGV Rio de Janeiro Law School’s “Tax Regulation of the Digital Economy and Tax Reform” series looked at the topics of “Regulation of New Technologies,” “Taxation of the Digital Economy in Brazilian Courts,” “Taxation of the Digital Economy and Impacts on Government Revenue,” “Consumption Tax Reform in Brazil” and “Consumption Taxation in Brazil.” All the meetings are available on FGV’s YouTube channel.
