Webinar debates labor reform

The Work and Development Research Group at Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo Law School is holding a free webinar on labor reform. This public event will take place on February 27, at 2 pm, on FGV’s YouTube channel.

The webinar is part of a series of events launched in December 2022, called “What Labor Reform Do We Need?” The idea is to bring together different stakeholders involved with the world of work to discuss the rules that need revision and find out their concrete proposals for urgent modifications.

In this second event in the series, the goal is to identify concrete ideas for reforming the laws that govern labor relations in Brazil, from the perspectives of substantive law, procedural law and collective law, to broaden, deepen and improve debate in the search for solutions to better structure this key contractual relationship in the capitalist framework for organizing work.

The speakers will be Renata Queiroz Dutra, professor of law at the University of Brasilia; Julio César Bebber, labor judge of the 24th Region; and Davi Furtado Meirelles, labor appeal court judge of the Second Region. The moderator will be Professor Danilo Uler Corregliano of FGV Law.
