Webinar discusses electric mobility in bus transportation in Brazil
On August 19, the Professional Master’s in Economics and Finance (MFEE) at the FGV Brazilian School of Economics and Finance (FGV EPGE), through its Infrastructure Economics research area, will hold a webinar called “Electric Mobility in Bus Transportation in Brazil.”The event will be broadcast live on FGV’s YouTube channel, starting at 7 pm.
The electrification of mobility is one of the pillars of the energy transition. In Brazil, the growing use of electric vehicles in urban public transport can bring about environmental benefits and efficiency gains. For these benefits to be materialized, however, there will need to be changes to regulations, new business models and new policies for the sector.
These topics will be discussed during the webinar by Francisco Scroffa, the CEO of Enel X Brasil; Marcio de Almeida D’Augusto, an associate professor at Rio de Janeiro Federal University; and Carlos Eduardo Cardoso, the B2G director of Enel X Brasil. The moderator will be Professor Joisa Dutra, who is the director of FGV’s Center for Regulation and Infrastructure Studies (FGV CERI) and the coordinator of EPGE’s professional master’s program.
