Women in economics: Event analyzes everyday routines of profession from female perspective

Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo School of Economics (FGV EESP) is holding a webinar called “The Role of Women” on June 2, at 6 pm. The aim of the event is to talk to female economists with established careers in Brazil and abroad in order to learn about their academic and professional paths. The public event will be livestreamed on FGV’s YouTube channel.
The focus will be on FGV EESP’s undergraduate economics course and career opportunities. The event will pose the following questions: What was high school like for you? What subjects did you enjoy? Why did you decide to study economics? What challenges were there in your economics course? What did you like best? How has your career progressed? What is your everyday routine as an economist like?
The moderator will be Professor Fernanda Estevan of FGV EESP. The main speaker will be Priscilla Bacalhau, an international consultant at the World Bank.
