Workshop concludes 8th Brazilian Legislative Survey

The workshop titled “Rethinking Brazilian Politics: New Directions in Research”, held on February 23 by The Latin American Centre of the University of Oxford, in partnership with FGV’s Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (EBAPE), concluded the 8th Brazilian Legislative Survey. The study was coordinated by professor Cesar Zucco (EBAPE) and Timothy Power (Brazilian Studies Programme – Oxford), and funded by FGV’s Applied Research and Knowledge Network.

Five new research projects on different aspects of Brazilian politics were presented during the event, based on data from the 8th Brazilian Legislative Survey. The event also launched a book on political party identification in Brazil and a roundtable on the 2018 election scenarios.

Besides professor Cesar Zucco, the workshop also included EBAPE professors Daniela Campello and Octavio Amorim Neto, as well as researchers from Oxford and other universities in the United Kingdom, U.S., Brazil, and Chile.
