Yellow September campaign promotes life awareness and appreciation
An open space to discuss the causes of suicide and preventive interventions. That is the best way to describe the event titled “Yellow September – Appreciation of life”, held by FGV’s Teaching Support Center (NAP) on September 4 and 5, at FGV’s main office.
The first day of the event featured a roundtable titled “Anxiety, Depression, Medication and Suicide Prevention”, led by professor Marieta de Moraes Ferreira, director of FGV Press, and also including psychiatrist Chrispim de Lima, psychologist Patrícia Barretto, and the regional coordinator of the Centro de Valorização da Vida (CVV), Maria das Graças Araújo. Lecturers spoke to an audience of approximately 300 people, including students, professors, employees, experts, professionals from different areas, and the public in general.
In addition to the roundtable, the second day of the event featured an exhibition at FGV’s Pilotis, including stands of the Centro de Valorização da Vida, the NGO Arte de Viver, S.O.S. Jovem and FGV’s Medical Service, sharing relevant information about physical and mental health with the audience. After the exhibition, the NGO Arte de Viver held a class on relaxation techniques for the participants.
