Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) will host the 2017/2018 Scientific Initiation Program Seminar of FGV’s Schools in Rio de Janeiro from August 28 - 30, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., in Auditorium 1013 of FGV’s Main Office (Praia de Botafogo, 190,Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro/RJ). The event will present work developed by researchers of the Undergraduate Research Program (PIBIC). We look forward to welcoming you there!

The Institutional Undergraduate Research Grants Program is an initiative by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Research (CNPq), created to support the Undergraduate Research policies of Educational and Research Institutions by giving Undergraduate Research (IC) grants to students involved in scientific research.

Supported by the CNPq, the goal of FGV’s PIBIC is to encourage scientific vocation; promote new talents among undergraduate students; contribute to the scientific training of human resources that will embrace any professional activity; leverage integration between undergraduate and graduate programs; contribute to the training of human resources for research; encourage productive researchers to involve undergraduate students in scientific, technological and artistic-cultural activities; enable grant receivers, advised by qualified researchers, to learn research techniques and methods, and promote the development of scientific thinking and creativity, by directly addressing research issues; and expand the access and integration of students to scientific culture.
