Preliminary Industry Confidence results reveal drop in October

The Industry Survey’s preliminary figures for October 2018 indicate a 1.3-point drop in the Industry Confidence Index (ICI) compared to September, down to 94.8 points – the lowest level since September 2017.

The worsening is seen both in entrepreneurs’ assessments regarding the current moment and their expectations for the next few months. The Current Situation Index (ISA) would drop 1.6 point, down to 93.6 points, its third consecutive decrease. The Expectations index (IE) would drop 1.0 point, down to 96.1 points.
