Colloquium on Public Accounting and Data Analysis brings together specialists in Rio

On June 3, FGV’s Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (EBAPE) held the 4th Colloquium on Public Accounting and Data Analysis. The event brought together international specialists to discuss issues related to the use of artificial intelligence and process automation.
The purpose of the event, organized by the coordinators of the Master’s Degree in Public Administration (MAP) and the Academic Master's Degree in Management, was to analyze the growing demand for transparency and accountability in the management of public resources, which gives government auditors the responsibility to provide guarantees on program performance and the financial position of government entities.
The colloquium presented topics such as artificial intelligence in auditing, neural networks, TensorFlow, and complexities and inconsistencies in government financial data, among others. It also presented and discussed academic research under development in the context of public accounting.
