FGV receives Marco Maciel Award for Ethics and Transparency for second consecutive year

For the second year in a row, Fundação Getulio Vargas has received a “Marco Maciel Award for Ethics and Transparency Between the Public and Private Sectors,” in the Education Institutions category. The awards ceremony took place on August 13, at the Tancredo Neves Pantheon of the Fatherland and Freedom in Brasília.

The main aim of the Marco Maciel Awards, which this year received 31 entries, is to highlight the importance of institutional and governmental relations activities by celebrating institutions that, through the work of personalities, professionals, academics, public officials and journalists, have contributed in an ethical, transparent and lawful way to the strengthening of ethics and transparency at public and private sector institutions in Brazil.

The coordinator of FGV’s MBA in Government Relations program, Professor Rodrigo Navarro, and the superintendent of FGV IDE’s Brasília unit, Sirley Silva, represented FGV at the awards ceremony.

FGV won this award because of its pioneering MBA in Government Relations program, launched in 2015, which has already educated 14 groups of students, and also because of its book “Selected Academic Papers from FGV’s MBA in Government Relations – Volume 1,” coordinated by Rodrigo Navarro and Andréa Gozetto.

The Marco Maciel Awards cover institutions across Brazil and they are held annually, with the aim of highlighting best practices in government relations in six categories: Public Organizations, Semi-Private Organizations, Education Institutions, International Activities, Organized Civil Society, and Journalism.

“I dedicate this latest Marco Maciel Award to FGV’s students, professors and the entire team of people who make our MBA in Government Relations a continued success,” said Rodrigo Navarro when he received the award.
