The Center for Education and Research in Innovation (CEPI) at Fundação Getulio Vargas’ Sao Paulo Law School will run a free course to explore different aspects related to the Internet’s infrastructure and how it works as a “network of networks,” considering its technical, regulatory and social dimensions.

The course, called “Structure and Functioning of the Internet: Technical, Political and Regulatory Aspects,” is the result of a partnership between CEPI and ISOC Brasil. Its goals are to deepen participants’ knowledge of the Internet’s structure, guiding principles and how it works, besides engaging and training professionals in multiple areas, preparing them to take part in discussions of public policy for the sector in Brazil.

The classes will take place live via Zoom, every Wednesday between October 7 and November 25, from 7 pm to 9 pm. There are 30 available places. The participants must demonstrate a high level of motivation and they will be selected to ensure a broad diversity in terms of their sectors, areas of activity, education, region, gender and skin color or race, to provide a rich forum for sharing and learning based on their different perspectives, realities and experiences.
