Ceremony marks the end of the FGV Volunteer Student Program at G20 Brazil

On December 20, the closing ceremony of the FGV Volunteer Student Program at the G20 took place, with the awarding of certificates of participation to the students. The event took place at the FGV Cultural Centre in Rio de Janeiro and brought together 226 students from 10 of the institution's schools who worked to support the organization of G20 Brazil. About half came from São Paulo to take part in the project.
The participants received certificates in recognition of their work. The ceremony was attended by volunteers, parents and guests, as well as the president of FGV, Prof. Carlos Ivan Simonsen Leal, the international director of FGV, Prof. Marlos Lima, the director of FGV CPDOC and FGV RI, Prof. Celso Castro, the director of FGV Direito Rio, Prof. Sérgio Guerra, the deputy academic director of FGV EBAPE, Prof. Sérgio Guerra, and the deputy academic director of FGV EBAPE, Prof. Alketa. During the event, students spoke about their experiences in the program. Vinícius Pires de Almeida, a student at FGV Direito Rio, said: "An experience that will be marked on our CVs as a differential and, above all, in our lives." Maria Eduarda Medeiros de Paula, from FGV RI, shared: "The opportunity to work at the G20 will be something we'll remember forever. I'll be able to tell my children, cousins and distant relatives that I was closer to Xi Jinping than many could have dreamed."
The project
The FGV Volunteer Student Program at the G20, promoted by FGV's International Directorate, aimed to support the Brazilian presidency of the G20 and offer students practical experience behind the scenes of international diplomacy, broadening their academic and professional training.
