Conference discusses innovation and sustainable development in the Amazon
The second edition of the event gathers leaders, specialists, and activists in São Paulo

The São Paulo School of Economics at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV EESP) will hold the second edition of the Amazon Dialogues Conference on December 5, at 8 AM, in São Paulo. The initiative will bring together public sector representatives, business leaders, activists, and researchers to discuss innovation, bioeconomy, regional entrepreneurship, and pathways for the sustainable socioeconomic development of the Amazon.
The programming will begin at 8 AM with reception and registration. The opening session will start at 8:45 AM, with participation from Luiz Augusto Rocha, Gustavo Biscassi, Sérgio Oliveira, Rildo Silva, and Márcio Holland, professor at FGV EESP and coordinator of the Amazon Dialogues.
The first panel, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, will address innovation initiatives in the Amazon, featuring Ilana Benchimol, Mariana Barrela, Rebecca Garcia, and Jose Renato Hopf. Following this, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, the second panel will discuss innovation and entrepreneurship with Luiz Antonio Elias, Aloizio Mercadante, and Luiz Augusto Rocha.
At 11:30 AM, Luciana Abade will present a talk on the COP30 balance. At noon, Vanda Witoto and Régia Moreira will bring perspectives on the region in the dialogue “Visions of the Amazon.” The closing of the conference will occur at 12:30 PM.
From 1:30 PM to 3 PM, there will be lunch and a book launch session, featuring works by Etelvina Garcia and Michele Aracaty.
The event takes place at the FGV 9 de Julho Auditorium, located at Rua Itapeva, 432, ground floor, Bela Vista, São Paulo/SP.
