Digital Library: Open access broadens the reach of journals and scientific production in 2024
FGV’s digital repositories recorded over 7 million accesses and reveal growth in the use of academic and technical content

The Digital Library has released consolidated data for 2024 regarding the two main academic repositories of the Foundation: the FGV Repository of Journals and Magazines and the Academic Institutional Repository.
The journal repository, which hosts 51 scientific journals from the institution, reached 4,606,991 accesses and downloads throughout the year—an increase of more than 1 million compared to 2023. Meanwhile, the Academic Institutional Repository recorded 2,737,388 accesses and welcomed 1,571 new publications.
Both platforms operate on open access, allowing free consultation of articles, theses, dissertations, papers, technical reports, and other types of documents.
Among the most accessed journals in 2024 are the Journal of Administrative Law (1,161,996 accesses), the Journal of Public Administration, and RAE – Journal of Business Administration.
In the institutional repository, highlights include content on climate change, mathematics education, and organizational leadership. The most accessed document was “Accounting, quantification, and publication of corporate greenhouse gas emission inventories,” with 10,632 views.
