FGV and Doha Forum promote strategic dialogue on Brazil-Qatar investments
Panel brought together Brazilian and Qatari leaders to discuss synergies and investment opportunities in a transforming global landscape

Last month, the panel “Investment Opportunities in a Disrupted Global System: Qatar/Brazil in 2025 and Beyond” was held in São Paulo, resulting from a partnership between the Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) and the Doha Forum. The event fostered a dialogue space between Brazilian and Qatari companies, featuring representatives from the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), BNDES, and Eurasia Group.

The discussions addressed how to explore synergies and complementarities between the two countries, focusing on creating new investment opportunities and strengthening economic cooperation amid rapid changes in the international setting.
Professor Marlos Correia Lima, FGV's International Director, highlighted the strategic nature of the initiative, emphasizing the importance of building bridges in an emerging context of innovation and cooperation. Mubarak Ajlan Al-Kuwari, Executive Director of the Doha Forum, underscored the shared commitment of Brazil and Qatar to resilience, innovation, and sustainable growth.
FGV will again be an institutional partner of the Doha Forum, which will be held in December in Qatar. The dialogue held in Brazil, the first Latin American edition of the event, not only evidenced the deepening economic and political relations between the two countries but also reaffirmed FGV's position as an institution of international prestige in education and research.
