FGV Europe participates in official mission to Nigeria and strengthens strategic cooperation
Initiative boosts the Green Imperative Project during the 2nd Session of the Nigeria-Brazil Strategic Dialogue Mechanism in Abuja
From June 24 to June 26, 2025, FGV Europe took part in the Brazilian government's official mission to Nigeria during the 2nd Session of the Nigeria-Brazil Strategic Dialogue Mechanism (SDM) held in Abuja. The mission was attended by Brazil's Vice President, Geraldo Alckmin, and marked a significant step in the intensification of bilateral relations between the countries.
Representing Fundação Getulio Vargas, the director of FGV Europe, Cesar Cunha Campos, emphasized the institution's role in promoting sustainable partnerships between Brazil, Nigeria, and the Global South, particularly highlighting the Green Imperative Project (GIP). Conceived by FGV Europe, the GIP aims to modernize agriculture, enhance food security, and foster sustainable development through technology transfer.
During the mission, the project was identified by H.E. Geraldo Alckmin as the central pillar of Brazil-Nigeria cooperation in agriculture and food security. The agenda included technical visits, signing new Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), and conducting the Business Forum “Roots to Revenue – The Nigeria-Brazil Corridor,” featuring discussions on innovation and technological cooperation.
