FGV hosts coordination of BRICS Brazil 2025
The institution welcomes diplomats and supports the organization of the Heads of State Summit in Rio de Janeiro

Fundação Getulio Vargas strengthens its strategic partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by hosting, since the beginning of June, the National Coordination responsible for organizing BRICS Brazil 2025. The activities are focused in the FGV building located on Rua da Candelária, in downtown Rio de Janeiro, and aim to prepare the Summit of Heads of State and Government, scheduled for July 6 and 7, at the Museum of Modern Art (MAM).
The initiative is led by the International Affairs Division (FGV DINT) and reaffirms the institution's role in supporting Brazil in multilateral forums. Throughout June, Brazilian diplomats have used FGV’s facilities for planning meetings and engaging with representatives from other member countries of the BRICS — China, India, Russia, and South Africa — including the group's new members.
FGV's infrastructure at Candelária has been adapted to accommodate diplomatic teams, offering technical and logistical support to the activities. One of the highlights is the participation of students from the FGV Young Ambassador Program, who volunteer their time to assist with the summit's organization, broadening their experience in public and international diplomacy events.
The meeting is expected to gather more than 35 foreign delegations, including BRICS member countries, partner countries, and representatives from international organizations. The Summit will conclude the Brazilian presidency of the group in 2025.
