Free program brings together experts to discuss conflict resolution with support from the European Union
The course offers multidisciplinary training in dispute resolution, arbitration, and mediation with national and international specialists

The Centre of Excellence on EU-Latin America Global Challenges is accepting applications until January 16 for the new edition of the Rio Course on Regional and International Dispute Settlement (Rio CRIDS), co-financed by the European Commission as part of the Erasmus+ program and coordinated by Professor Paula Wojcikiewicz Almeida. The course will begin on February 25, 2026, at FGV Rio Law and will feature a faculty comprised of Brazilian and international specialists from the fields of law, international relations, and social sciences.
Rio CRIDS is an intensive and multidisciplinary program aimed at professionals and academics interested in deepening their understanding of international dispute resolution, arbitration, and mediation. The training provides contact with faculty from different countries and fields of study, broadening the understanding of global conflict resolution mechanisms. According to Professor Paula Almeida, the course offers an innovative program that develops analytical skills and prepares participants for contemporary challenges in international law.
The initiative stands out for its heterogeneous approach, integrating international law, international relations, social sciences, and politics, encouraging critical thinking and professional connections among participants. The fourth edition will be in-person and free, with a rigorous selection process to ensure the suitability of candidates. Upon completion, approved participants will receive a completion certificate endorsed by the European Commission.
