The International Directorate of FGV (FGV DINT) is currently accepting applications for the program “The Return of Geopolitics: How to Understand Today’s World and its Impacts on Brazil,” aimed at FGV students interested in expanding their understanding of the international scenario.

The program will take place from January 25 to 30, 2026, in Rio de Janeiro, combining theoretical approaches, interaction spaces with renowned experts, and hands-on classes in emblematic locations in the city, such as the Itamaraty Palace, Sugarloaf Mountain, Christ the Redeemer, Copacabana Fort, and Guanabara Bay, aboard a Brazilian Navy vessel.

With an innovative and transdisciplinary approach, the program integrates geopolitical perspectives, historical analyses, and strategic vision, enhancing participants' capacity to interpret the global environment and identify risks and opportunities in commercial, political, and diplomatic spheres. Students regularly enrolled in undergraduate, master's, or doctoral programs at FGV, regardless of their field of study, can participate.

The president of FGV, Professor Carlos Ivan Simonsen Leal, who will be one of the program’s speakers, highlights the originality of the program: “By addressing central themes of contemporary geopolitics, such as disputes among great powers, geoeconomic risks, dynamics of global governance, artificial intelligence, and international security, the program reinforces FGV's cutting-edge positioning. We continuously seek to prepare our students for the challenges facing the world and Brazil, always keeping in mind FGV's greater mission: to contribute to the socio-economic development of the country.”

This edition will feature special rates. Interested parties can find more information and submit their applications for the selection process until December 15, directly on the FGV DINT website.
