On November 24, Professor Oscar Vilhena, director of FGV Direito SP, participated in the first meeting of the National Observatory of Integrity and Transparency of the Judiciary, created in October by the President of the National Justice Council, Minister Edson Fachin. The observatory's mission is to enhance integrity, public ethics, governance, and transparency in the Judiciary. Vilhena is part of the group as a representative of civil society. 

During the inaugural meeting, members approved four priority topics that will guide their work in the coming months. Discussions will include remuneration in the judiciary, ethics, lobbying and conflicts of interest, transparency of data, and integrity systems with a focus on technology and governance. Minister Fachin emphasized that the observatory is committed to producing diagnostics, proposing solutions, and structuring policies that positively influence the practices of integrity in the Judiciary. According to him, the lines of action will focus on drafting norms such as recommendations and technical notes to be submitted to the plenary of the CNJ, in addition to producing research and diagnostics with data consolidation and proposing indicators. 

The National Observatory of Integrity and Transparency consists of CNJ advisors, presidents of superior courts, the secretary-general, and the secretary of Strategy and Projects of the CNJ, as well as magistrates representing the State, Federal, and Labor Courts. The group also includes

eight representatives from civil society. In addition to Oscar Vilhena, the observatory includes Eunice Aparecida de Jesus Prudente (USP), Gabriela Spanghero Lotta (FGV EAESP), Loiane Prado Verbicaro (UFPA), Luciano da Ros (UFSC), Maria Paula Dallari Bucci (USP), Marco Aurélio Borges de Paula (FAAP), and Fernando Facury Scaff (USP).
