International symposium discusses the role of open technologies in digital and social transformation
First edition in Latin America of the OpenForum Academy Symposium will be hosted by FGV Rio Law and will bring together experts from various countries on November 18th and 19th
On November 18th and 19th, FGV Rio Law will host the OpenForum Academy Symposium 2025, an international event co-organized with Open Forum Europe. The conference will gather researchers, policymakers, and professionals interested in the social, political, and economic impacts of open technologies and open source code.
Recognized as the only academic conference dedicated exclusively to this interdisciplinary field, the OpenForum Academy (OFA) symposium promotes annual debates that connect research agendas and encourage the production of collaborative knowledge, focusing on the public value and transformative impact of open technologies.
The 2025 edition, the first held in Latin America, will broaden the scope of discussions, highlighting the diversity of technologies contributing to the development of solutions in contexts of uncertainty, social innovation, and digital transformation. The program will include article presentations, thematic panels, and interactive sessions with specialists from different regions of the world.
