Projetos de extensão acadêmica em Direito abrem inscrições

The São Paulo School of Law (FGV Direito SP) has open calls for students to take part in various extension projects. Some of the extension projects admit not only students from the school, but also people from outside the institution.

Extension projects are activities carried out by the school in partnership with different institutions with the aim of bringing content worked on in subjects and produced as part of their research to the community, be it local, regional, national or international. Conversely, extension seeks to understand the demands of the community in relation to the academic competences of the educational institution in order to establish concrete ways for university-society dialogue, allowing not only the democratization of knowledge, but also academic and cultural production based on social, economic, political and cultural reality.

Created in 2023, the Law on the Street Extension Project (PEDRU) aims to discuss the relationship between law and public policies in the realization of the rights of homeless people. With a view to bringing the two areas closer together, the project is structured around theoretical face-to-face meetings to discuss texts on the rights of homeless people, especially in relation to data on services and reference authors in the fields of social work and anthropology. With a view to bringing the project closer to other university extensions, the discussion meetings are held in partnership with the Luiz Gama Human Rights Clinic at USP's Faculty of Law and are open to undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as members of social movements and organizations.
