The Ministry of Mines and Energy conducted, in November, a series of workshops dedicated to discussing the construction of the National Energy Transition Plan (Plante). The event, titled "PLANTE: Path to Energy Transition", took place in São Paulo, Brasília, and Rio de Janeiro, aiming to broaden the participation of the different sectors involved and strengthen the plan's development process. The initiative was promoted in partnership with FGV Clima, with support from the Clima e Sociedade Institute (iCS).

The meetings brought together representatives from government entities, civil society, and the productive sector, members of the National Energy Transition Forum (Fonte). According to Sérgio Ayrimoraes, General Coordinator of Integrated Studies of the National Secretariat for Energy Transition and Planning, this phase was crucial for advancing the work. "We presented, at the beginning of the month, the first draft of Plante. The events held in person in the three Brazilian capitals involved a qualified listening and, mainly, a collective construction. Plante is one of the foundations of the National Energy Transition Policy, and thinking long-term allows us to make the necessary construction for energy development, involving all sectors," he said.

During the program, experts contributed recommendations and analyses on the four strategic pillars of the Plan: Security and Resilience of the Energy System; Poverty and Energy Justice; Competitive Energy for a Low Carbon Economy; and Public Policies, Regulation, and Financing for Energy Transition.

Plante consolidates, in an integrated manner, actions and guidelines that will guide the medium and long-term development of the Brazilian energy sector. Its elaboration is coordinated by the Ministry of Mines and Energy, with support from the Energy Research Company and participation from other ministries.
