ESADE Business School students attend course at FGV

For the third consecutive year, FGV’s Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (EBAPE) received a class of master’s candidates from ESADE Business School, in Barcelona (Spain), to attend the course “Organizations Transformation & Change Management”, coordinated by professor Marco Tulio Zanini and EBAPE’s Department of International Relations.
Featuring 30 students from over 15 different countries, the group attended classes by professors Marco Tulio (Trust & Leadership in the Brazilian Context), Fernando de Holanda Barbosa Filho (Productivity and Development in the Brazilian Context), Carmen Migueles (Business Strategy in the Brazilian Context), Sam Fouad (Change Management), and Paulo Motta (Organizational Transformation), sharing different perspectives on the national scenario, built upon a change management context.
Throughout the course, students also visited some companies to learn about Rio de Janeiro’s economic potential, besides talking to prominent professionals in each of these companies. Students attended lectures by Marcelo Haddad, vice president of External Relations of the Flamengo football club, who explained the dynamics of the club and its governance plans. They also visited the sunglass company Zerezes, where they were greeted by Hugo Galindo and other partners, who presented the brand’s concept and their unique ideal of sustainability.
Students also visited the global headquarters of H Stern, where Christian Hallot spoke about the company’s mission and global operations within the luxury market. In addition, students also had the opportunity to talk to executives Ana Marques and Ana Polatschek, from EY consulting firm, to learn more about the company’s performance during the 2016 Olympic Games and draw parallels with the 1992 Barcelona Games.
ESADE’s International Executive MBA program is offered in Spain, available at the Barcelona and Madrid campuses. Besides Brazil, students also take a classroom module in one of two other countries (India or China) and end the course at Georgetown University, in the U.S.
