The Association of Labor Magistrates of the 1st Region – Amatra1 and the Judicial School of the TRT of the 1stRegion, along with Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), represented by Brazilian Institute of Economics (IBRE), Rio de Janeiro Law School (Direito Rio), and São Paulo School of Economics (EESP), will host the ‘Labor Law and the Economic Crisis: Flexibilization and Outsourcing in the Labor Market’ seminar on March 24, 2017. The event will be held at the main office of the Ministry of Labor in Rio de Janeiro (Rua da Imprensa), starting at 9 AM.
The goal is to discuss the legal and socioeconomic aspects of the proposals to make labor laws more flexible proposed by the government, as well as labor outsourcing in the country.
For the first time in the country, the event brings a multidisciplinary approach to the subjects, correlating insights by justices, lawyers, businesspersons, trade unionists, and economists regarding the proposed changes and their impact on the relations between labor and capital, as well as the well-being of the population.
These discussions are expected to yield new insights and ideas based on a range of different outlooks, ultimately outlining a set of alternatives available for work relationships to face the challenges of today’s society.
