Public Affairs in Latin America analyzed in article

The coordinator of FGV’s MBA in Public Affairs, professor Andrea Gozetto, has just published the article ‘Public Affairs in Latin America: The Gradual and Uneven Formalization of a Long-Time Informal Activity,’ co-written by Clive Thomas, from Washington State University, in The Sage Handbook of International Corporate and Public Affairs, edited by Phil Harris e Craig S. Fleischer.
The authors emphasize the relative novelty of public affairs work and how it is defined by European standards, even with features that set both regions apart.
The process of formalization and professionalization of the activity is highlighted by the authors. For that, they turned to a historical retrospective of public affairs in the region, within an economic, political, and social context, as well as field research with the contribution of two global Public Affairs agencies, Burson Marsteller and Llorente & Cuenca.
The Sage Handbook of International Corporate and Public Affairs is available via this website.
