FGV’s Brazilian Institute of Economics (IBRE) will host the seminar titled Dimensions of Productivity on May 11, at 8:45 a.m. The meeting will feature four roundtables, which will analyze different areas of economic policy where initiatives can be implemented to potentially leverage productivity in Brazil: Directed Credit and Forced Savings, Promotion of Competition, Trade Policy, and Infrastructure Regulation. The event’s closing ceremony will be led by Brazilian Minister of Finance, Henrique Meirelles.

The event is part of a previous partnership between IBRE and the Ministry of Finance, and will also host the launch event for the book titled “Anatomia da Produtividade no Brasil” [Anatomy of Productivity in Brazil], organized by Regis Bonelli, Fernando Veloso and Armando Castelar Pinheiro, from IBRE. The seminar and book are both results of IBRE’s decision to prioritize productivity within its institutional mission to promote debate on Brazil’s development.

The meeting will be held at FGV’s Cultural Center in Rio de Janeiro (Praia de Botafogo, 186).
