Innovation is theme of 4th Meeting of Municipalities for Sustainable Development

Professor Edson Kenji Kondo, coordinator of the Public Administration course at FGV’s National School of Management and Economics (ENAE), participated in the 4th Meeting of Municipalities for Sustainable Development (EMDS), held at the Mané Garrincha National Stadium, in Brasília, from April 24-28. The professor was one of the panelists discussing innovations in citizen services, under the theme “Innovations to transform management and qualify expenses”.
The roundtable covered innovation in public services offered by municipalities to citizens, which may include Electronic Government topics. This includes online interaction with city halls, such as tax collections, issuance of certificates, real-time information on traffic, public works, school enrollments, access to public health medical appointments, transparency of public activities and all Management innovations that City Halls can offer, focused on citizenship.
This edition’s central theme was the challenge of “Reinventing governance and financing of cities”. In addition to Arenas, TED-alike, meetings and partner events, the 4th EMDS also featured 22 Themed Rooms, each divided into four Roundtables.
