Administrative Law Review is ranked among Brazil’s top journals

Published by FGV’s Rio de Janeiro Law School (Direito Rio) under the editorship of professors Joaquim Falcão and Sérgio Guerra, the Revista de Direito Administrativo (Administrative Law Review) was ranked A2 in the latest Qualis evaluation by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes). This ranking promotes the journal to the “A” category, alongside Brazil’s top publications in the field of Law.
“A2 is one of the highest rankings issued by Capes. It means our journal met the quality and reliability criteria defined by Qualis, after an extremely rigorous evaluation. Ranking among the top publications in the country is excellent news”, said Sérgio Guerra.
Another recent honor for the Administrative Law Review – which rounds out its 70th anniversary celebrations by moving up in the ranking – was the fact that it was also listed by Capes as the most-cited law journal in Brazil over the last two three-year periods.
“The journal was considered to have the highest impact factor in our field over the last two three-year periods. That shows how relevant the studies published in the Administrative Law Review are to ongoing scientific research in Brazil, since this recognition comes from the researchers themselves. The journal closes its 70th anniversary celebrations on a high note,” added the co-editor and deputy dean of Rio de Janeiro Law School.
The journal is published under the Academic Master’s in Regulatory Law program at Rio de Janeiro Law School. Its mission is to serve as a forum to share ideas on the fields of public law and legal theory. The journal publishes articles focused specifically on the program’s research tracks, which are “Regulatory Governance,” “Institutions, Justice and Economy” and “Regulatory Strategies and Intervention.”
Created in 1945, the Administrative Law Review is edited and distributed through a partnership between FGV Press and Editora Fórum. Every issue of the journal is available to the general public via FGV’s Digital Library.
