FGV Energy – Center for Energy Studies hosted the third Meeting of Energy Traders in Rio de Janeiro on May 22. The theme of the event was the regulatory agenda and the challenges of the energy free market. The subject was introduced by the Director of the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL), André Pepitone, followed by discussions.

The Group of Energy Traders of Rio de Janeiro was created to integrate companies based in the city of Rio that operate in the segment, bringing the segment’s professionals together. At the same time, the discussions bring FGV Energy closer to this type of industry, guiding its research and improvements in policy making.

The in-depth debate is facilitated by the provision of a neutral environment for discussion and for the systematization of contacts. Representatives from ENEVA, Energisa, Neoenergia, Furnas, Light, and Solenergias attended the event.
