FGV professor receives ANPAD award for contribution to Information Administration

Luiz Antonio Joia, professor at FGV’s Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (EBAPE) and lead researcher of e:lab (Research Laboratory on Government and Electronic Businesses), received the Outstanding Contributor award in the field of Information Administration from the National Association of Graduation and Research in Administration (ANPAD).
Granted for the very first time by ANPAD, the award acknowledges professor Joia’s relevant contribution to the advancement of the Information Administration community in Brazil, in the pursuit for its national and international development goals.
The award selection process carried out by the ADI area’s Scientific Committee, based on nominations by scholar peers, considered key points such as leadership in the national and international scientific community; international projection; scientific production; quotes and research projects; awards or other academic prizes received; number of Master’s and PhD candidates supervised; and renowned ethical behavior and reputation.
The award was granted during the 6th ANPAD Information Administration Meeting held on May 28, 2017, in Curitiba. During the event, the professor’s article titled “A Teoria da Representação Social e a Definição de Constructos na Área de Administração da Informação” [The Theory of Social Representation and Definition of Constructs in the Field of Information Administration] was also nominated for the Best Work in Congress award.
