Debate on Public Administration challenges to be hosted by FGV and ENAP

In partnership with the National School of Public Administration (Enap), Fundação Getulio Vargas will host the seminar ‘Challenges in the Field of Public Administration: Education, Professionalization, and Research’ on June 20 and 21, starting at 9 a.m. The meeting will be held at the FGV Cultural Center, in Rio de Janeiro, and also marks the ‘2017 Meeting of the Government School Network’ and the ‘Celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Revista de Administração Pública (RAP - Brazilian Journal of Public Administration)’, published by FGV’s Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (EBAPE).
The event will bring together leaders of government schools, researchers, scholars, and public managers to discuss topics related to training for public service and academic production in Public Administration. Discussions will focus on the challenges related to teaching, learning, and innovating in times of uncertainty.
The opening panel will include the participation of Professor Carlos Ivan Simonsen Leal (President of FGV), Professor Francisco Gaetani (President of ENAP), Professor Bianor Cavalcanti (President of IASIA and Director of FGV’s International Affairs Division), Professor Flavio Vasconcelos (Dean of EBAPE), and Professor Alketa Peci (Director of RAP – EBAPE). The opening lecture will be given by Francisco Longo, professor and Assistant Deputy Dean of Escola Superior d'Administració i Direcció d'Empreses/ESADE, Universitat Ramon Llull (Barcelona, Spain).
