Urban mobility lecture debates technology, big data and development

FGV’s Group for Infrastructure Economics & Environmental Solutions (GEI-SA) will host another debate on Urban Mobility on June 21, in partnership with Arq.Futuro. This edition of the event will discuss Technology, Big Data and Urban Planning. This is the second debate held this year, and two others are still scheduled for 2017.

This edition’s guests include Danilo Igliori (Chairman of Data ZAP); Ivo da Motta Azevedo Corrêa (VP of Public Policy at Uber), and Pablo Cerdeira, (coordinator of the Center for Technology and Society of FGV’s Rio de Janeiro Law School and former Chief Data Officer of the City of Rio de Janeiro.) The debate will be mediated by Sao Paulo School of Business Administration professor and GEI-SA coordinator, Gesner Oliveira, and Tomas Alvim, co-founder of Arq.Futuro – creators of the debate series.

The first debate took place in March, under the theme ‘Urban Mobility and the Future of Cities’, featuring the São Paulo Municipal Secretary of Mobility and Transport, Sérgio Avelleda, as guest lecturer, who shared his vision on mobility changes in the city and the city hall’s plans for municipal issues.
