FGV welcomed the new UK Ambassador in Brazil, Vijay Rangarajan, on June 19. Appointed by Queen Elizabeth II, the diplomat addressed topics such as the results of recent Parliament elections in the UK, the country’s current post-Brexit stance in the international market, and the internal consequences of a minority government for Prime Minister Theresa May.

The event also featured FGV’s President, professor Carlos Ivan Simonsen Leal, the British Consul-General in Rio de Janeiro, Jonathan Dunn, and other municipal and state authorities of Rio de Janeiro.

In addition to Britain’s context in the international scenario, the new ambassador spoke about the bilateral relations between the UK and Brazil.
