Rutgers Business School students attend international module at FGV

FGV’s Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration (EBAPE) welcomed students from Rutgers Business School (USA) for a technical visit of the Doing Business in Brazil program. The program was coordinated by EBAPE’s professional Master’s in business management (MEX) and public administration (MAP), as well as the coordination of the International Relations area.

The Doing Business in Brazil program was designed to provide students of the Rutgers Business School’s Global MBA program with an in-depth view of the Brazilian market, as well as the internal policies to open new businesses in the country. All 12 participants of the module attended lectures featuring FGV professors and guest speakers, in addition to visiting companies such as Petrobras, Zerezes and Prudential.

Lectures were conducted by FGV professors Paulo Motta, Marco Tulio Zanini, Sam Fouad and Andre Coelho. In addition, MEX student Rosmari Capra-Sales, director of Taxes and Ethics at L’Oreal, presented a paper on the Brazilian market’s taxes and fees.

The group of U.S. students visited the country in late May, under the partnership between Rutgers and Fundação Getulio Vargas. In February this year, 16 EBAPE Master’s candidates traveled to the U.S. in a similar program, under the Doing Business USA module.
