Event discusses the future of business and government relations in Brazil

FGV’s Sao Paulo School of Business Administration (EAESP) will host a free-admission debate on the future of business and government relations in Brazil on July 26, at 7 p.m.
Since 2013, a number of changes seem to have affected the backdrop of relations between corporations and the government in Brazil: popular demonstrations of various hues, new relationships between voters and politicians, anti-corruption investigations, changes in election financing rules, discussions on the regulation of lobbying, and changes in economic and industrial policies. Panelists will discuss how these new trends affect the future of relationships between corporations and the government in Brazil and the work of government relations professionals.
The debate will be coordinated by EAESP professor Rodrigo Bandeira de Mello. The panel will feature Guilherme Cunha Costa, President of ABRIG (Brazilian Association of Institutional and Government Relations) and Director of Dominium; Marco Antonio Teixeira, EAESP professor; Milton Seligman, Insper professor and Global Fellow of the Woodrow Wilson Center’s Brazil Institute; Paulo Henrique Spirandeli Dantas, member of the Advisory Board of IRELGOV (Institute of Government Relations) and partner at Demarest Advogados; and Paulo Nassar, President of Aberje (Brazilian Association of Business Communication) and Senior Assistant Professor at ECA-USP.
