FGV Chat addresses urban mobility

FGV Chat, which features interviews with experts and researchers from Fundação Getulio Vargas that address current issues, invited professor Marcus Quintella, Urban Mobility and Transport Consultant from FGV Projetos, Coordinator of MBA graduate courses, and National Coordinator of the post-MBA program at FGV’s Institute for Educational Development (IDE), to talk about urban mobility.
The program aired on July 20 focusing on issues such as the current scenario of urban mobility public policies in Brazil, the damages caused by time lost in traffic jams – which amount to more than BRL 40 billion per year –, the Rio de Janeiro subway and the changes caused by the partial construction of Line 4, and the advancement of BRT in the city.
The program also addressed mobility solutions by expanding bike lanes, urban planning, and an analysis of measures and ideas to improve quality of life through urban mobility across the world’s major capitals.
