Finance: new risks and opportunities

In a time of economic recession and of searching for effective measures for the country to resume growth, the theme ‘Finance’ is introduced in the FGV Executive Magazine, published by FGV’s São Paulo School of Business Administration (EAESP).
According to the experts, four forces are transforming the financial sector: the digitization of the economy, the sophistication in data analysis, the administration of new risks - strategic, regulatory, cyber, and reputational risks -, and the intense pressure of the stakeholders. The articles show how these changes are affecting the financial and accounting management of companies and the emerging businesses, as well as multinationals, banks, investment and private equity funds, and microfinance institutions.
In addition to the articles, the magazine features an interview with Oded Grajew, founder of NGOs such as Rede Nossa Sao Paulo, Fundação Abrinq, and Instituto Ethos, who discusses his ideas about ethics and corruption in companies.
The special on Finance also has columns by professors Samy Dana, on disastrous convictions for financial decisions; Tales Andreassi, about the difficulties of entrepreneurs in dealing with finance; Priscilla Miguel, who draws attention to the strategic role of supply chain management; and Paulo Sandroni, who analyses the current political and economic scenario.
Signed by researchers from Centers for Studies in the field, the articles are the result of applied researches with high potential for impact on business management. Go to the website to read the articles.
