Deputy Mayor of Sao Paulo addresses impacts of the crisis on municipal management

The Deputy Mayor of Sao Paulo, Bruno Covas, will join the panel titled “Challenges for Brazil: The impacts of economic and political crises on municipal management”. The event will be held next Thursday, August 31, at 10:30 a.m., at the auditorium of FGV’s main office in Rio de Janeiro (Praia de Botafogo, 190. Botafogo).
Organized by FGV’s Department of Public Policy Analysis (DAPP) and EPGE Brazilian School of Economics and Finance, the event will promote public debate surrounding the challenges faced by major cities regarding fiscal restraints and the growing demand for public services.
The opening ceremony will be given by the president of Fundação Getulio Vargas, Professor Carlos Ivan Simonsen Leal. The director of DAPP, Marco Aurelio Ruediger, and the dean of EPGE, Rubens Penha Cysne, will also join the panel.
