Book Biennial: FGV attends largest literary event in Brazil

FGV is at the 18th Book Biennial. Present in all editions of Brazil’s biggest book and reading event, FGV Press is presenting more than 7,000 copies of its comprehensive catalog at its booth, which includes works in several fields, such as administration, law, history, and political science, among many others. The 2017 Biennial will be open to visitors until September 10, at Riocentro (Av. Salvador Allende, 6555 – Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro).
In addition to having access to virtually the entire collection of books, visitors to the booth can access the publisher’s digital works, with more than 500 titles, through digital readers available for consultation, getting to know this new way to read.
One of the highlights of this edition is a tribute to the book ‘Comunicação em prosa moderna’ [Communication in modern prose], which celebrates 50 years of its publication in 2017, remaining one of the most sold and recommended books in the history of FGV Press. Recent releases that have gained great prominence in the press, on social networks, and on FGV Press’ website, such as ‘Crime e política’ [Crime and politics], ‘Cidade de Deus’ [City of God], ‘A democracia impedida’ [The prevented democracy], and ‘Paul Ricoeur,’ as well as ‘Direitos humanos e vida cotidiana’ [Human rights and daily life], the first textbook by FGV Press, will also be in evidence.
According to Professor Marieta de Moraes Ferreira, director of FGV Press, this tradition of participating in all editions of the Book Biennial contributes to strengthening the brand and to bringing the publisher closer to the interested public, even in an event with great literary appeal and attended by young readers.
FGV Press’ booth is located at Blue Hall – K Street, number 26. Go to the website for more information on the 18th Book Biennial.
